Get Started!

Moisten PolyROOT® MGM first - dip it in a water bath or mist/spray with water.  Allow excess water to drip off.  Place PolyROOT® MGM in germination tray.  Sprinkle seeds onto PolyROOT® MGM to your desired density.  Then mist the seeds with water until good and wet, using a spray bottle.  Place germination tray upside down over the top of tray to cover the seeds so they do not receive any light.  Keep seeds moist/wet in a dark environment until they have germinated, usually 2-5 days, depending on seed type.

Get Growing!

Once seeds have germinated, remove cover and expose the greens to sunlight.  Keep PolyROOT® MGM moist (not soaked) as your greens grow, allowing the mat to dry between waterings.  The amount of water you will use depends on type of seeds, the size of your greens and your growing conditions - humidity, temperature, light exposure.

When microgreens are mature (check with seed supplier for average days to maturity), harvest your greens by holding the mat vertically and cutting the microgreens with a clean knife or scissors as close to the growing mat as possible.  Eat & enjoy!!
